Thankful. Becoming powerful in their own gentle, desperate, and finally abrasive-out-of-necessity way.

And you too—traveling through the water, the land, and even up to the sky. What a thing to be thankful for. What a day to be alive.

The air is thick with salt and storm. This scent smells like the ocean, but not the way postcards describe it. This is the ocean as a living thing—briny, wild, pulsing, a tide that refuses to be tamed. It is sea spray on bare skin, dune roses curling against the wind, the warm undercurrent of fig and clove. It is the hunger of waves, the weight of something ancient and knowing.
